It is fairly widely reported that The Tribunals Service overturns about 40% of DWA fit-for-work decisions, which allows the Goverment to claim that they are correct most (60%) of the time. However, as we all know, the Government always "spins" the figures it quotes as far as it can. I'm not exactly sure where these figures came from, but it is quite likely to be the "
Social Entitlement Chamber Presidents Report" which actually shows:
So we can turn this over and accurately state that in fact decisions are only upheld LESS THAN HALF OF THE TIME. Two can play at this game!!!¬
Note as well that these figures are for the year 2008 - 2009, so hardly up to date.
